Contracting an IVC Partnership

The International Visitors Council has over 35 years of experience in creating and administering highly successful short-term and long-term training programs for visitors from all over the world and from a variety of professional fields.

When you contract with the IVC you get:

Resources
The dedicated professionals who staff our office have both training and experience in dealing with people from many different cultures and backgrounds and are sensitive to the nuances that working with foreign nationals require. The Cincinnati IVC has experience in placing people with over 500 companies, governmental offices, and non-profit agencies for practical training. In addition, IVC staff effectively uses faculty from the major regional universities to provide academic training when appropriate.

A key resource of the IVC is a roster of volunteers that can provide both transportation and hospitality, including home-stays with people who have language facility or who have lived abroad themselves.

When the lack of English language facility is a potential barrier to an effective learning process, the IVC has a cadre of translators and interpreters who can be assigned to the project.

Expertise
The IVC, using the myriad of resources outlined above, provides customized programs which are unique to the needs of individual clients and trainees. For a corporate placement, an evening meal, or a day of interviews, the IVC develops specific programs that meet the specified professional objectives of visitors

A well-organized orientation program can prepare both the trainee and the professional or hospitality host for the visit. These materials have been well worked out in advance so that there are no "surprises" and that the expectations, both in content and culturally, are clear.

Results
A well-run program builds good will and trust for building future relationships. The IVC sees to it that visitors to Cincinnati leave satisfied, having found that they have more than met their objectives of securing appropriate exposure to business and culture in the United States. Participants gain access and insight to new technologies and methods and the foundation is laid for on-going contact.

The IVC's ability to operate efficiently and effectively with a small permanent staff, a group of people available on a contract basis, and a large group of volunteers means that you will get the most return on your investment.
