IVCGC Prepares for CC #30
The IVC is looking for friendly families to volunteer to host international visitors who are part of the Community Connections Program for May 2-23rd.. The visitors are between 27-53 years of age and are from Karshi, Uzbekistan. The week homestay placement will take place starting May 2nd. Participants English is poor.

The Community Connections program provides an opportunity for Uzbeks to learn how Americans administrate educational facilites. In business meetings and seminars, participants will receive information on American culture, social and political issues, and educational planning.

The homestay opportunity is a valuable opportunity for the program participants to gain first hand insight into American life.

Thanks to Community Connections #26 Hosts & Volunteers
Nine non-governmental organization experts from the Azerbaijani city of Lankaran left Cincinnati on July 26, 2002. They are grateful for all the opportunities they had to learn about non-governmental organizations practiced in Greater Cincinnati. The group, in the Tristate for nearly three weeks, met with a range of companies. They were well received everywhere they went and boarded their plane home full of new ideas to implement in their companies and organizations.
